Hi, I’m Cam!

THE BACKGROUND

I was drawn into portrait photography by Mark Laita, an advertising photographer gone photojournalist, and after formally starting my portrait photography business, I was introduced to the film + documentary wedding community on social media. Since then, I have been entranced by the je ne sais quoi which emanates from truthful and honest imagery. Of course, posed photographs are still beautiful, but the magical ones are the least expected: a gentle hand hold, a wistful look from mom, the distant uncle’s dance-floor faux pas…

MY VOCATION & MORE ABOUT ME

In college I studied Classics (lots of ancient Latin and Greek) and I got the opportunity to study abroad twice, once in England, once in Scotland. Along with my studies & travels, I was working as a part time photojournalist for my university’s paper & formally started my photography business in the Winter of 2021. After graduating from university, I felt called to pursue my photography business full time. The rest is history!

Photography isn't my side hustle or a fun hobby, it is my full time gig and I see it as my vocation in life––something I have been called to. Apart from being a photographer, I am a wife (to my amazing husband Seamus!), a Catholic, and an avid reader! I enjoy going on daily walks, to hot yoga, and I LOVE to bake! I feel so blessed to call this my job and I am so looking forward to working together.
